The new school is forecast to open in September 2025 and will cater for students aged between 16 and 19 from across the East Midlands region. Innovative facilities, housed in a dedicated school on a first class campus situated close to the University of Nottingham will be highly accessible through excellent transport links. The school aims to improve social mobility throughout the region, particularly through wider outreach and partnership working. The school will foster a close-knit, nurturing learning community.
Students will have opportunities to interact and build positive relationships with those from different backgrounds, both within school and in the wider community. The school will support and influence the teaching of mathematics in the surrounding area.
This new school will equip students with the skills, values and knowledge for the next stage in their educational journey and for their roles in global communities. The main aim is to prepare more of our mathematically able pupils to succeed in mathematics related disciplines at top universities and facilitate them to pursue mathematically intensive careers with confidence.
